755 / 1064 nm

Laser hair reduction

We pair the 755nm Alexandrite and 1064nm Nd:YAG lasers to treat hair across all skin types, under medical supervision. Individual results vary.

What it is

Light that finds the follicle, not the skin.

Pigment in the follicle absorbs the light as heat, disabling follicles in their active growth phase. We use FDA-cleared devices under physician supervision.

Why two wavelengths

755nm for contrast, 1064nm for depth and safety.

The 755nm Alexandrite suits lighter skin with darker hair; the deeper-reaching 1064nm Nd:YAG is the safer choice for darker skin. We match the wavelength to you.

755nm
Alexandrite, efficient on lighter skin with dark hair
1064nm
Nd:YAG, deeper and safer for darker skin types
Candidacy

Honest about who is, and is not, a good candidate.

The laser targets pigment, so dark hair responds best. A consultation is required before any treatment, with a patch test before your first session.

Skin type

Across the Fitzpatrick scale

Switching between Alexandrite and Nd:YAG, we treat skin types I through VI safely.

Hair type

Pigment is the target

Dark, coarse hair responds best; light or grey hair lacks the pigment lasers rely on.

Patch test

Standard before session one

We test a small area first; some conditions and medications rule treatment out.

What to expect

A course of sessions, spaced to the growth cycle.

Most people need roughly six to eight sessions, four to eight weeks apart. This is permanent hair reduction, not permanent hair removal.

Sessions

Typically six to eight

Four to eight weeks apart; your provider estimates a range at consultation.

Sensation

A brief snap, then warmth

Most feel each pulse as a quick snap; integrated cooling keeps most areas comfortable.

Downtime

Mild and short

Mild redness for a day or two; most return to normal activity right away.

Aftercare

Sun off, sunscreen on

Avoid sun, heat, and exercise for about 48 hours, and use sunscreen. Shave between sessions; do not pluck or wax.

Results

Permanent reduction

Treated areas show durably fewer, finer hairs, with occasional maintenance over time.

Maintenance

Occasional top-ups

After the initial course, periodic sessions hold the result as hormones and the hair cycle shift.

Questions

The questions we hear most.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Most feel a brief snap with each pulse, like a rubber band against the skin. Built-in cooling keeps most areas tolerable.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need roughly six to eight sessions, four to eight weeks apart, because lasers only affect follicles in their active growth phase. Your provider estimates a range at consultation.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Laser treatment provides permanent hair reduction, not permanent hair removal. Some hairs can regrow over time, so occasional maintenance may be needed.

Which skin types can be treated?

Pairing the 755nm Alexandrite for lighter skin with the 1064nm Nd:YAG for darker skin, we treat across the Fitzpatrick scale. Your provider confirms candidacy at consultation; very light or grey hair responds poorly.

What is the aftercare?

Expect mild redness for a day or two. Avoid sun, heat, and intense exercise for about 48 hours, use sunscreen, and do not pluck or wax between sessions; shaving is fine.

Laser hair reduction is a medical procedure performed by or under the supervision of licensed medical professionals using FDA-cleared devices. It is not a cosmetic guarantee. Results are not guaranteed and individual results vary. A consultation is required to confirm the treatment is appropriate for you, and a patch test is standard before a first session. Possible risks and side effects, including temporary redness, swelling, pigment changes, and rarely blistering, are reviewed during your consultation. Pregnancy, certain medications, and some skin or health conditions may rule out treatment.
